The new novella is done except to go over it several times for typos and the like. Spent the afternoon writing and rewriting the ending. Finally got it where I wanted.
Now I can enjoy my holiday.

Have created a lens at Squiddo. Lots of fun and a cool marketing tool.

Check it out. I set up a new site to record and exhibit my digital experiments. Have been talking to some digital artists at WetCanvas and received some very nice advise on new programs and techniques.

There is high art, low brow art, kitche, visionary and the list goes on and on. There are illustrators and fine artists. There are literary authors, hacks and every under the sun in between. Sometimes people cross over from the high end to experiment with the low end. They dare to be criticzied--and often ignored--for their work.
It's all art. The trick is to keep doing it. ![]()
Speaking of digital--I now have two books out in digital format. I'm on the bandwagon with this new format. Just think--when you're traveling you won't have to lug around heavy books, just your Kindle, or a small laptop--even a Sony reader. Lots of benefits to digital books.

Ok, I swore I'd never embrace digital art. However, I've been experimenting more and more with some cool programs and have found new and exciting ways to blend my digital experiments with my traditional art. I don't believe the digital format can replace the excitement of a painting hanging on someone's wall, in a gallery or any alternative venue available for today's modern artist. Nonetheless, digital software can be an exciting tool to enchance and embellish traditional artwork; i.e. printing out the image and collaging it within a traditional painting or pasting it onto canvas and painting on and around it.

It's great to be spending more time at home and working on some writing and art. I've invested in some digital art software and have begun to combine my hand painted and drawn work with digital enhancements. I've done several fantasy pieces and want to move on to horror.
My novella is nearing completion as well. Today is a great day to work on it. The atmosphere is wonderful here. Rainy. Dark. Leaves are falling and the mood is delightfully dark.
I wish I had more time!!!!
